What is Fidimago?

/fih-dih-MAH-goe/

What does that word mean? It is a combination of the Latin words "Fides" which means "Faith" and "Imago" which means "Images" or "Pictures," translating roughly to "Images of Faith."

That's what our brand is.

It's an artistic and light-hearted way to display our faith in Christ and spread His story and love with thought-provoking and humorous apparel, accessories, and every-day essentials. These designs are certainly no work of Michelangelo's, and probably won't be on the ceiling of a cathedral, but they are sure to start a conversation!

Our Founder

Fidimago is the passion project of 23 year old Matthew Vanderhyde, an inspired artist and creative from Wisconsin, dedicated to providing a light-hearted take on Christian apparel.

Born into a Lutheran family and homeschooled through his entire childhood, Matthew spent his early years finding his ambition for art, doodling in history notebooks and creating cartoons for his family. In high school, he attained a passion for animation and pursued several options for film-making. In 2023, Matthew would create "Slice of Love", and animated romance which was nominated for Best Regional Short Film at the 2024 Beloit International Film Festival. That year, Matthew would also meet and marry his now wife, Harmony.

After working blue-collar for 3 years, he and Harmony became determined to escape "the grind" of long, exhausting work days and sleepy, lazy weekends. They each set out to create their own online businesses. Harmony would begin by creating The Arcane Supply a custom notebook design company, and on January 7th, 2026, Matthew would officially open Fidimago's online storefront.

The two Vanderhydes continue to dedicate themselves to God, each other, and their businesses, constantly striving to produce high-quality, AI-free, designs for anyone to enjoy!
